Hilarious Delilah A Short Story by DMonx Delilah looked at the tiny record in her hands and felt stressed. She walked over to the window and reflected on her sunny surroundings. She had always loved dull Under The Lamp with its loose, lovely lights, drills, suction, X-rays. It was a place that encouraged her tendency to feel stressed. Then she saw something in the distance, or rather someone. It was the figure of The Dentist . The Dentist was a sweet doctor with sticky eyelashes and short spots. Delilah gulped. She glanced at her own reflection. She was a hilarious, modest, cocoa drinker with fat eyelashes and slimy spots. Her friends saw her as an ashamed, arrogant animal. Once, she had even made a cup of tea for a wide-eyed baby flamingo. But not even a hilarious person who had once made a cup of tea for a wide-eyed baby flamingo, was prepared for what The Dentist had in store today. The sleet rained like jogging foxes, making Delilah calm. As Delilah stepped outside and The Dentist came closer, she could see the tight glint in her eye. The Dentist gazed with the affection of 5892 sinister beautiful badgers. She said, in hushed tones, "I love you and I want to drill your teeth." Delilah looked back, even more calm and still fingering the tiny record. "The Dentist, until we meet again," she replied. They looked at each other with sparkly feelings, like two odd, obedient ostriches sitting at a very courageous wake, which had jazz music playing in the background and two hungry uncles shouting to the beat. Delilah regarded The Dentist's sticky eyelashes and short spots. "I feel the same way!" revealed Delilah with a delighted grin. The Dentist looked confident, her emotions blushing like a real, robust ruler. Then The Dentist came inside for a nice mug of cocoa. Tips for healing a broken heart 1. Take time to grieve 2. Find a new source of joy 3. Make a list of what you like about yourself 4. Acknowledge thoughts about your former partner 5. Express your needs to others 6. Turn your attention toward others 7. Allow emotions to flow 8. Find relief in exercise and movement 9. Avoid activities that remind you of your ex 10. Make meaning of the breakup If possible, try to make meaning of the relationship ending, or accept that there’s no meaning to why it ended. Over time, you may come to realize that the end of your relationship was ultimately in your best interest. However, it is possible that you might not be able to find any positive in the relationship ending. Both are valid conclusions. Try to have faith and keep moving forward. | Some of y’all breakup easy. At least they left you heart broken. Some of us were left with kids…THAT LOOK JUST LIKE THEM 😩 | Jelly Look
