happy lemon season!🍋💛 this is my recent baking obsession🥹 ~~~~ 🌼🍋 Earl Grey Lemon Squares Recipe🍋🌼 Crust: 1 1/4 cups flour 1/3 cup powdered sugar 1 earl grey tea bag (use 1 tsp of dry tea) 1/8 tsp salt 8 tbsp chilled butter Filling: 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice 1 cup granulated sugar 2 tbsp all purpose flour 1/2 tsp baking powder 1 earl grey tea bag 2 tsp grated lemon rind 3 large eggs 1 tbsp powdered sugar ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ 1. preheat oven to 350° 2. line 8x8 pan. combine filling ingredients, cutting in butter until mixture resembles coarse meal. press into bottom of prepared pan. bake at 350° for 19min or until lightly browned. 3. prepare filling: microwave lemon juice on HIGH for 30secs, then use to steep new earl grey tea bag for 10min. squeeze juice from tea bag into bowl, then discard tea bag. combine sugar, flour, baking powder in bowl. add rind and eggs to juice; whisk until combined. add juice mixture to sugar mixture; stir with a whisk until well combined. 4. remove crust from oven; pour filling onto hot crust. bake at 350° for 23min or until set. cool in pan on wire rack for 30min. then, remove from pan by lifting foil or parchment paper. cut into 16 pieces. sprinkle bars with powdered sugar (~1tbsp) the end!!
