A tourism campaign for the Philippines backfired after it was revealed that the creators of a video promoting the archipelago nation had used stock shots from other countries. Questions emerged after popular Philippine blogger Sass Rogando Sasot posted on Facebook that several images in the campaign video were not actually from the Philippines. Advertising agency DDB Philippines apologised on Sunday for the “highly inappropriate” images. The agency was behind the video for the government’s $900,000 “Love the Philippines” tourism campaign, which launched on 27 June. #philippines #philippinestourism #tourism #tourismcampaign #oops #lovethephilippines | A Philippines tourism campaign under fire for using stock images from countries that ... aren’t the Philippines | Original 'Love the Philippines' video | Stock footage: Bali | Stock footage: Thailand | Stock footage: Dubai, UAE | Stock footage: Cumbuco, Brazil | Stock footage: Zurich, Switzerland
