3 tips for travelling Iceland on a backpacker’s budget: ⤵️🤍🇮🇸 it may be one of the most expensive countries in the world, but it CAN still be done affordably! here’s some ideas to get you started, let me know if you want a part two! 1. group travel. I don’t necessarily mean tour groups (although if you want a super affordable one, check out @ellamarietravels iceland November trip), but even just travelling with friends can make it so much more accessible! and, let’s admit it, an iceland road trip with your best friends is on everyone’s bucket list 🗺️ 2. cook your own meals wherever possible. groceries are still pretty pricey, but it’s a fraction on the expense of eating out in Iceland 🇮🇸 3. travel in off season. hotels & hostels in the months june-august are literally double what they are the rest of the year! ✨ If you found this useful, don’t forget to like, save and follow for more solo travel + budget travel content 💘💘 #iceland #icelandroadtrip #budgettravel #icelandbudgetguide #icelandtravel
chaotic Icelandic road-trip, day 2! here’s everything you need to know about visiting Katla Ice Cave! ✨⤵️ when to visit: Icelandic ice caves are open to be explored from mid-November until April! 🥶 how to visit: for your safety, make sure you go with a tour guide!! 😎 why does it have grey layers? that’s volcanic ash encased in ice from hundreds of years of eruptions of the active volcano the glacier is located on top of! make sure to add this to your bucket list, it’s once in a lifetime! 💘💘 :) #iceland #icelandtravel #roadtripiceland #katlaicecave #icecaveiceland
