Not every clown has to have an egg, they are made by a clown organization (clowns international) that clowns have to pay to join/ pay to receive one, and the main reason they do so is also to receive access to special classes and networking. Not every working clown or even currently well known clown has an egg. But due to the spread of videos about the wonderful egg museum, there’s been some misconceptions. Like for instance, acquiring an egg from this organization means YOU own it and it’s not put up for display among the greats in the museum. Any regular neighborhood working clown that joins the org can get one, and anyone that does not can make their own clown egg. Clown eggs help a clown trademark their facepaint because it counts as an existing piece of art for a trademark. And the ceramic egg is white and easily shows the layout of the makeup making it wasy to differentiate between styles.
