The captain of the Thai boys’ football team trapped in a cave in 2018 has died in the UK. Duangpetch Promthep was 13 years old when he, his teammates, and his coach made headlines around the world after getting stuck in Tham Luang cave in northern Thailand. Promthep was living in the UK and had been accepted onto a football scholarship in Leicestershire. His family and friends have been paying tributes to him. His former teammate Titan Chanin Viboonrungruang said, “You are one of the persons that pushes me and makes me want to improve myself to your level.
