Taliban leaders in Afghanistan have indefinitely banned women from getting a university education. The minister for higher education announced the new restrictions on the 20th of December. Female students have since been turned away from universities and some have even attempted to hold a protest in Kabul that was quickly shut down. The United Nations have condemned the ban which resembles restrictions from the Taliban’s first rule where girls weren’t allowed to receive an education. #afghanistan #afghan #afghanwomen #afghanwomensrights #education #womensrights #genderequality #womenseducation #righttoeducation #university #student | Women In Afghanistan Are Now Banned From Going To University
